One fascinating aspect of being human is that people will do most anything, consciously or unconsciously, to be right about their beliefs.
Our ego doesn’t want us to be wrong even if it is at the expense of our happiness, health and not to mention financial success. Our mind is more like our defense mechanism which is sort of designed for survival mode. As soon as the mind feels it’s not comfortable with something, then it goes in to survival mode. It keeps us in the comfort zone where nothing unfamiliar is allowed, we get stuck in the same old boring routine, behavior, actions and subsequently the same failed results that we have been having till this point in time. Unfortunately our comfort zone is so very limited that it cuts off any possibility for success, happiness and financial freedom.
Now I’m not saying that you have to be wrong to be rich or happy, what I am saying that people will almost do anything to prove themselves right in order to preserve self, ego, status… and all that jazz, but unfortunately what we don’t realise is that our life, happiness, money, abundance doesn’t lie with our feeling of being right because the moment you enter the conversation of right or wrong, that’s one you can’t win. Even if you do, that’s going to be at a high cost and time and time again the cost is our happiness.
I also hear people say you don’t have to be rich to be happy, true love is independent of money, money is cause of all the evil, money is not everything….…blah blah blah…… Well I’m not here to make anyone right or wrong; but hey being rich gives you the courage, the confidence, the freedom to do what you want to do, help others, be an inspiration, role model and show people a better life – That, every time lead to happiness.
Now ask yourself, if you had all the money you needed, do you feel good? Are you happy? Will you give back to the community? Will you help others or be a jerk? Every single person that I have asked this, say they would naturally help others. So where and how did that negative stuff about money come from?
You may not be able to buy happiness as such with money, but having money will most likely find you happiness in all sorts of life.
Our heart on the other hand is like a child’s playground. It knows no rules, until we have experienced it for ourselves,.
So you want to be Right or Rich?
Are you listening to your Mind or Heart… You decide which is which; after all you Define your life.
